About the Business
We are a contractor specialising in the design, supply, installation, service and maintenance of commercial and industrial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, incorporating where possible heat recovery and energy conservation.
Originally formed in 1935, Industrial Cooling Equipment Ltd is one of the longest standing and well respected refrigeration names in the country. In 1986 the company was acquired by the giant American manufacturer, York International Ltd.
1992 brought significant changes to the company as senior management negotiated with York and purchased the company name and certain assets and taking advantage of the good name of Industrial Cooling Equipment and their very considerable experience in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat recovery, they set out to re-establish the company in its traditional contracting role.

Maintenance
One of the fastest growing areas of our business is air conditioning maintenance contracts, which is why we have invested a lot of time in tailoring our maintenance packages to give optimum performance to your system.
Today’s inverter driven systems are extremely energy efficient but only when they are maintained to the highest standards. Blocked filters, clogged indoor coils, dirty condensers and under charged systems will mean an inverter compressor will have to work harder and longer at full speed to maintain the desired room temperature.

We are a specialist in air conditioning installation from the design right through to the commissioning of air conditioning systems.
We are a competitive and professional contractor that installs a wide variety of systems and always selects a system that is right for our customer’s application, based on a site survey carried out by one of our expert technical sales team.
